'These boots have bagged some goals'

But are no longer required. Not for a while at the very least.

I guess this constitutes great timing from the webmaster of the official Tottenham site.

Click on this link and try not to shake your head despondently at the irony.

Yet another post well worth clogging up Newsnow with. Christ.

Yet another blog comment I could do without. Jesus wept.

Newsnow don't have to publish every single article I post. I write for myself as well as this blog - rather than writing exclusively to have it appear (sorry, clog) up Newsnow.

So that means not every single article is going to be of the standard of let's say, I don't know, the Daily Mail.

FFS Richard.

Spooky I noticed that on the Spurs site. Irony is one word for it. Tragic another. Apparently x-ray pictures of his broken foot will be available with a special edition Opus from the club shop. That Levy doesn't miss a trick.

Spooky. No matter how hard you try your articles will never be to the standard of the Daily Mail.

Never.

Those are no boots........those are slippers. No wonder he picked up an injury.

Has there been an official word yet from the club on this injury?

SANTA CRUZ PLEASE

Santa Cruz over Robbie Keane. I'd go with that. Still have to keep Bent though until the summer.

This has really ballsed everything up. £15M on a striker that will miss the defining point in our season.

Yeah right, "your articles will never be to the standard of the Daily Mail". Please, what f*ckin' standards are those exactly?, sh1t they've even had to apologise to the one-legged maccenstein's monster. This blog generally has elements of truth, irony, sarcasm and outright lunacy. In the words of Curtis Mayfield, 'keep on keepin' on'.

From the BBC:

1342: BBC 5 Live's Darren Fletcher tells us Spurs striker Jermain Defoe is undergoing a scan on the foot he injured in training yesterday. Apparently, it was an existing injury which took another knock, but despite the gloomy headlines this morning, Spurs are hopeful he'll play again this season.

Maybe we should hold onto those tears.

Will be interesting to see how we line up today. One up front? Or two?
